IN-BETWEEN / 11 simulations

With the aids of simulations of extreme situations, the work examines the instrument photography as a carrier of information, or better, its traditional role as a presentation form of reality. It describes a paradoxy, by which both have the same significance. Like the title says it is somewhere IN-BETWEEN, somewhere between black and white. The pictures are neither a 100% staged nor a 100% documentary. They are both. They should make up questions and not be fully readable. The viewer is supposed to doubt the pictures.

The work is questioning the gap between "truth“ and false“, "reality“ and "fiction“. It should show that photography circumvents this. The question is not what reality is, but how we can represent it.
